Football
It's the real football, my American friends. The game that really uses foot.
As you all know, the World Cup is on. And as an England fan, I've been watching the numerous games on the TV over these past 2 weeks.
The first two England matches were a disappointment I'd say. Although they won, they didn't play well at all. With their performance being like this it would be very difficult for them to get to the last 8, let alone going to the final.
If they are facing the German in the next round, it's more than certain that they will come back London in late June.
But what I really want to talk about is the match between USA and Italy, which was held a few days ago. I was genuienly surprised to see that the Americans can actually play the real football.
It was the most exciting match yet in this game. Both sides were very aggressive. So many goals (good, bad, own), so many cards (several yellows and reds) and so many sent-offs. It actually had become a game of American football. Full of violence, yet so intence and exciting.
The highlight of the game must be when USA's Brian McBride was elbowed by Italy's De Rossi. The act was totally disgusting. And I hope he got banned by FIFA for doing that. At that point I suddenly wished that the Americans can win. When I saw how bloody the face of McBride was, I wnet like "Oh my God!"...

And when I saw him taking his bloody shirt (no punt intended) off, I went "Oh my God!" again (in a different sense...)

In any event, I will definitely not mind seeing some more actions in the field, for example, like this...

Yes. That's the way to steal the ball.
